Taco Bell sounds real good. We dave not been out to eat since March 12th. Wife is too afraid to go anywhere. She still will not order take out either.

Today, I grilled some smoked sausage. Heated up the frijoles and made a salad. Pegged the glucose meter again with the left over pound cake. had to double up on the insulin.

Been busy grilling every weekend for the last few weekends. Kids have been coming home to pick veggies from the garden and to cut brush. Drought finally ended and now we have too much water. Rattle snakes have been moving around. Looking for dry places I guess?

Son and I killed one and one got away last week. Daughter and her husband got one a few weeks ago. He went and got some new snake proof boots and brought his .45 with him this time.

My wife is working from home and struggling from either a back problem or a pinched nerve.

So dinners here have been on the thinner side.

May have to fill the truck up with gas and head for Pancho, the Man with the Meats!!

Hope all is well at home brother!!

    God bless!!!

    Hey PPP,

We cut down on the grilling cause of the high heat. Last 3 days have been 108-110. Expecting a cool down to 105 for a few days. So, I had to help the wife with beef tacos on home made four tortillas on Momday and enchiladas today.

Wife and I both use tramadol for pain. Wife has 2 knee joints that need replacement and doctors will not do them cause she has not lost weight.

I have a pinched nerve in my left ankle from a aurgery that did not heal well. Also have 2 ruptured disks that give me problens. Tromadol gets the pain down. Have your wife ask her doctor.

Good morning my awesome Bersa brother!

Thank you for the advice on the pain meds.
As soon as she gets up I will tell her.
I cannot remember the pain meds prescribed.
But they told her to also take Tylonol PM to help sleep at night.
    She had her doctor's visit.
Another herniated disc in exactly the same location as last year.
She is set for surgery on August 10.

We have had a wave of 90 degree temps and a second is to hit starting tomorrow.
That is our 100 degree equivalent due to humidity.

Hope you and Mrs P are felling better.
Life is already hard enough without all the pains.
Sounds like you hard another "Pancho Deluxe" dinner!!

    God bless you brother!!

For an actual dinner report ......

My son came and stayed the night last night for the first time in maybe three weeks.
Did not want my wife to be cooking due to her pain.

So, it was a Taco Bell Party Pack of Soft Shell Taco's Supreme!
    Those are pretty good things!

Hope everyone is doing fine here on the forum!!

    God bless!!

    Hello Pancho!!

My wife just told she is prescribed Tramadol by the Docs.
So, she is taking the same thing you and Mrs P are using.
She still needs the Tylonol PM to get through the night.

I was up into New York near Rochester yesterday.
Came home to find my wife had baked to huge chicken quarters coated with butter, salt, pepper, chives and paprika.
Had a side of sliced cucumbers and diced onion served with Italian dressing on it.
    Tremendous surprise.
Especially since when I left the Rochester, NY area there was a man cooking chicken halves over a huge fire pit that he was selling!
Was thinking of stopping and sneaking one but I am sure my wife would have smelled grilled chicken in the car and noticed the sticky steering wheel coated in chicken grease!

My wife and I loved the boil you put on but my wife is not a fan of spicy.
I told her she could have put her spicy on my stuff!!

God bless my fine Bersa bother!!

We are so sick of cooking. Even a trip to McD's for take out is great. But the wiife still will not go sit in a restaraunt or go to a grocery store. Doing alot of grillin' too.

Went to a doctor today for an actual office visit. First time in 6 months. Wife went take out crazy at Arby's and a Mexfood place we use to go to weekly about 40 miles from here. At least I won't have to cook for a couple of days.

Burgers, fries & a choclate shake. Yeah, didn't cook today. Big reward for good Dr's report yesterday. Lost 12 lbs. since last checkup 6 months ago. Kidney function up by 10%. Weight was 180. Haven't been that low since 1976 when we got married.

We had a lite dinner last night.
We came home from Ocean City, MD yesterday.
Always go north on Rt1 through Bethany, Dewey, and Rehobeth beaches.
We stopped for lunch at "Go Britt!"
    https://www.gobrit.com/
It is a small fast foodie of British style cooking.
We try to stop here when through the area.
My wife had Fisherman's Pie of mashed potatoes, carrots, salmon, cod, and shrimp.
She loves fish but is not much into salmon.
But she said the salmon in their cooking is amazing good.
I had the Fish and Chips.
Thought about getting Bangers and Mash.
Did get a side of their mashed peas.
    They are amazing good.

    God bless!!

My wife and I vacationed in that same area a number of years ago. Beautiful country. First time I had soft shell crabs.
