Went to the 25 yard bullseye range yesterday. I don't care what the pundits say about the BERSA Thunder 380 being a "belly gun" and only accurate at point blank range...

The BERSA Thunder 380 is a rocking 25 yard gun! It is every bit as accurate (for me) as my Springfield XD(m) that I shot along side of the Thunder 380.

By far, the BERSA Thunder is my favorite pistol.

golf balls at 25 yards

I went to the range today and shot my Bersas a .22,. 380cc, .45uc. After shooting the center out of three paper targets at 7 yards, I moved to shooting at golf balls at 25 yards. I love my bt 45uc, but my nickel bt 380cc is my absolute favorite. I used it to outshoot my friend shooting my scoped Remington nylon 66 at golf balls at 25 yards. He was shooting them and wasnt really suprised when I started to hit them with my 380. Did I say I love this gun? I can hit the balls with my bt 45 uc but target reaquisition is slower.
I am much faster with the 380 even with the shaved down sights. Oh yea I love it.

My Bersa Thunder 380 was not as accurate out of the box as my Walter PPKs, however after about 300 rounds it woke up and shoots quite well now. Comparing the two there are several features on the Bersa that like better than the Walter. 1st, the slide is easier to cycle on the Bersa than the Walter, 2nd I like the controls on the Bersa better and last the Bersa is lighter than the all SS Walter. All that being said, I had an issue with a dis-connector spring on the Bersa popping out of its slot on the dis-connector, and then the spring broke. Bersa sent me a replacement Spring which I replaced and it has not had an issue since, but now I am concerned about it as a carry gun. Other than that one issue I really like the gun.

It took some serious practice to get used to the sights ( or lack of ) on the wife's .380 CC. I picked up a punching bag at a yard sale and she uses it for up close practice 5-10' then uses paper or plastic targets at 15-20 yards. The only thing I can figure out is people forming an opinion without having any facts......go figure.
