Has anyone actually tried eating cicadas? What's the best way to cook them? Can I just steam them up like shrimp, and sprinkle some Old Bay on 'em? I've seen some recipes for soft-shelled cicada that actually look pretty good.

For some reason the thought of steaming them makes me gag, but I'm not opposed to frying them.
