What I wound up doing was sanding the Pearce extension flat where it was supposed to slide over the magazine base. Took about 5 minutes with the Dremel tool. Then I rough sanded the factory Bersa base, cleaned both with some acetone and used J-B Quick weld ( it's black when it's cured where the regular set is gray) to glue the extensions onto the mag base. What the deal is according to Pearce is that the Bersa mag. base has a recessed floor plate and that's why you can get 8 rds in it but the Pearce extensions are kind of a generic fit for .380 mags and when you load them up with 8 rds there just isn't anyway to make them seat in the pistol. The one other thing I did to the Pearce extensions was to drill the hole out a bit larger than the hole in the Bersa plate. If you do this make sure you use the Bersa locking plate. Just don't get carried away with the J-B Weld, it doesn't take much to fasten the pieces and if you do get some in the base plate hole clean it out or else you'll wind up having to drill the hole out. I used some cotton tipped swabs dipped in the acetone to remove any of the J-B Weld that squeezed out between the pieces and they turned out great. Now I've got mags with an extension on them AND they hold 8 rds. I did do a drop test on the mags and the extensions aren't going anywhere. BTW if anyone's interested in putting the extensions on I got a set of two at Amazon for $11.87 shipped free, not bad considering a couple of places I looked wanted 10 to 15 bucks and damn near that much for shipping! Pays to look. Lost the paper work but I think they were G-380 for a Beretta mag but they also said they would fit the .380 Bersa mags, they just neglected to mention you were going to drop your mag capacity to 7 rounds on the 8 rd. Bersa CC mags! Bitched out Pearce pretty good because their add says "the extensions will NOT affect the magazine capacity" oh yea they do!!
