Just when you thought the company couldn't further perfect its line of small concealable handguns, Bersa has done it again. An entirely new line of pistols, the Bersa Concealed Carry series, brings polymer to the Argentine made CCW firearms.

Why Polymer

Bersa, with more than a half-century of innovation and dedication to their customers, has long provided cutting-edge small framed semi-automatic pistols marketed specifically for personal protection. Most are aware of the legacy Bersa 83, Thunder 380, and Thunder 9 models. However, since the 1990s they have lost ground to polymer-framed weapons such as the Glock, Ruger LCP, Kahr and Kel-Tec designs. Polymer framed handguns shave several ounces off the overall weight of the firearm while simplifying production (and therefore cutting costs) and increasing durability against corrosion, rust and grime of all sorts. With the decrease in weight, the firearm is lighter to carry and therefore more comfortable. A comfortable firearm is one more likely to be carried, which is the whole reason to have one, as any CCW holder will argue.

The Design of the Bersa CC

Bersa's new Concealed Carry model, dubbed the BP9CC in their literature, is a compact striker-fired, semi-auto with a steel slide and barrel over a high impact polymer frame. The frame adds the capability to incorporate, for almost the first time, a Picatinny rail on a Bersa pistol. The Picatinny rail allows the fast and rapid addition of flashlights, external lasers, and other accessories. An automatic firing pin safety, coupled with an all-new integral locking system make for a both user friendly and safe firearm. A loaded chamber indicator and 8-round magazine capacity keeps it California and Massachusetts compliant. Ambidextrous magazine releases and interchangeable 3-dot sights for both left or right-hand use and customization. The Concealed Carry's deep polygonal rifling and micro-polished ensure a long life and accuracy. Best yet, its comparable in size and functionality to both the Ruger LC9 and the Glock 26, at about $100 less.
