My husband purchased a Bersa .40 Thunder Ultra C back in February of this year. He only shot three maybe four mags thru it when it started jamming. It jams with both mags that he has. He took it back to the gun shop where he purchased it. They sent it away to MN to an armorer. It took about three weeks. It came back "fixed". He shot it this past Sunday and again it jammed. It's not how he's holding it. It jams for other shooters too. It jams both indoors and outdoors. The gun shop swears its the very first Bersa that they have ever had come in for repair let alone a brand new Bersa having issues. Anyone have any advice? Ideas? Different armorer? Thanks!

As much as I don't like to tell you this, you should call Bersa (Eagle Imports) and follow their recommendation. If it was purchased new, It should have been sent back to them. Have him go onto you tube and type in Bersa Clip fix or similar key words. Lots of good videos and how too's Good luck.

Thanks. I will tell him. I me the silly woman did tell him that very thing. The gun shop told him that "eventually" it will probably get replaced but until then they have to jump through all these other "fixes". And it was brand new when he purchased it. The bullet will not move up completely in place into the breach out of the mag. It does it on different shooters and with different ammo. Not getting a fuzzy warm feeling about Bersa. Thanks.

Don't give up on Bersa. Things like this are rare.
I have a BT.40UCP that had the same issues. What I found was the mags were hanging up. I took them apart and filed, dremmeled and sanded all the edges I could find (just enough to remove any burrs). Then I used a real fine emery cloth on the inside of the mag to remove any burrs that might be in there.
Took it to the range and not one jam.
David, after reading all the posts on this forum, I would say this is not rare. I'm wondering if I should demand my money back.

This happens with ALL makes not just Bersa. As I stated above, I have a .40UCP. Just a little time and elbow grease on your part and you will have a great shooter.

I have 1 Ruger, 2 Bersas, when I first got them they all jammed, a good cleaning and mag deburring and they all shoot perfect, I've put 500 rounds down range with my BT.40 UCP since I cleaned up the mags with out a jam. I even have it in my EDC rotation.

Don't give up. :D

Trust me... just keep shooting it. Just make sure the gun and the mags were well cleaned AFTER you got it.
Well then I will give you $275 for it
If this deal doesn't go through, PM me.
I own 4 semi-autos. The ONLY one that has performed flawlessly is my Hi-Point. Go figure. Never the less the issues have been small and correctable by myself. Thanks to you tube and a very thorough cleaning/sanding/polishing where needed.
This issue is now fixed. I got it back from repair yesterday. It works great now. Thanks for all the advice. I will keep this in mind if it ever happens again. Have a great day.
Does it jam with different brands of ammo? If only one brand it might be telling you something.
Try MecGar mags. Solved my problem.
