Extra magazine as EDC?

If I need that many I'd carry my ar-15

When I am not carrying my Smith model 13-3 357 I carry my thunder 22. Coming wayyyyyyy down in caliber i carry 2 extra mags. Good thing about the 22 is they take up very little room

Anyone who would use that much ammo out on the street in some situation would most definitely be on national news. One magazine full is definitely plenty for anyone to carry. We are not commandos, are we?

Totally agree with you. When the 357 is with me 12 is plenty but a 22 is pretty low on the scale for put down, so I carry some more for reassurance.

15 rounds are too much?

Every book on concealed carry says you should carry an extra magazine. What if there was a problem with your magazine and there was no stones around to throw.

It is ALWAYS a good idea to carry as many as you're comfortable with. I was taught that I will never know what kind of situation I may be getting into, and it may not be possible to escape once your ammo runs out.

The wife carries an extra mag and keeps one in the car at all times for the .380 CC. I stick to the extra mag or extra speed strips rule myself.

I carry one extra mag of any of my EDCs. Hope for the best, plan for the worst. It is far better to have one & not need it than need one and not have it.

I do not but I usually carry an extra gun on my ankle

I carry one extra mag whether I'm carrying my BT380 or my 9UC.

Meaning? Many like Gov. Andrew Coumo feel anything over a 7 shot capability, makes you a terrorist. So do you think a person who carries a Glock 19 is a Rambo or just concerned about their safety. The odds of getting into a actual gunfight is very very slim (I know and hope it stays that way for me). I carry a .40S&W Ruger (9+1) but i 95% of the time will carry a 15 round spare magazine.

Hey, if I knew when I stepped out that door that danger was eminent I would take my AR and at least four mags and my 9 and extra mags. Or just barricade the doors and let trouble come knocking and be ready to answer.
