I currently carry a PK380 but I'm not comfortable with the safety mechanism of this weapon. I've decided to get a Thunder and what I want to know is if anyone has found a comfortable shoulder rig which will handle the Thunder and an attached laser or do I need to use crimson trace grips?

First of all, welcome to the family! What kind of Bersa do you plan to carry?
My plan is to get a thunder in .380 CC with the trigger gaurd mounted laser. I have talked to my gunsmith and he has seen very few problems with the Bersas he's sold but has never carried one himself. My main peeve with the Walther is it doesn't decock when you put the safety on and I get confused if the gun is on safe or not. I want to be sure when I hang a piece on my body what condition it's in.

Mine always stays loaded, in chamber, hammer down, safety off. The long DA trigger pull is more than enough safety.
Ditto David's post above. Loaded, chambered, safety (if it has one) off and hammer down. BTW Welcome to the forum.
