BT-22 Slide Catch Spring

My BT-22 will slam forward when inserting mag occassionally so I compared the spring tension on the slide release to one of my 380 BTs and there is a difference in tension. Based on this I would like to change out the spring on the 22. Can anyone give me a hint as how to start and is this considered a difficult task? Thanks in advance.
