My Thunder 380 has no trigger pull and I can’t get the slide off. I’ve put several rounds through it in the past with no issues. I bought a Strikeman laser cartridge and discovered it wouldn’t work. That’s when I noticed there was no trigger pull upon jacking the slide. I’d try a real round in it but I don’t know of a legal shooting range nearby and the sheriffs range don’t open until late next month. The spring under the grips is where it’s supposed to be. The only number I can find for customer service seems like an extension and nobody answers. I’ve left a couple emails on what appears to be their website but no answer. Anyone know how I can contact them for support or service?

Sure thing, I just saw this. Give us a call at American Arsenal & Armory at 812-659-4867. We are in M-F and available on the phone from 10am-6pm EST.
Thanks Royce for the excellent phone conversation. It was like having you here next to me while we were breaking the .380 down. You obviously know your stuff and have the skills to share that knowledge with us. Bravo Zulu Mister! I’ve archived your contact data in case I need to use it again. Good day Sir, and Thank You once more.

No trigger pull without a magazine inserted. I had removed it to practice with a laser cartridge. Next time I’ll empty the magazine and reinsert it. Many thanks to Royce.

I hate magazine disconnects! 🤬

New Product Design Meeting
Manager: Got any new ideas?

Design Engineer: Well, I was thinking we could shave off about a half-inch in width to appeal to
the CCW market if we just...

Manager: Yeah, that sounds great, but tell me what you think of this idea instead... how about if we develop a device that turns a firearm into a paperweight?! We can market it as a "safety". Sounds good, right?

Design Engineer: Sure, boss. Whatever you say.

I you are not aware of the positive aspects of having a magazine disconnect on a defensive pistol, then you need to broaden your horizons and open your mind a bit.

When I was at Quantico for Firearms Instructor Training this was a big topic at the time, and I will share with you what we were told: "When do we reload?" When we want to, not when we need to? We reload from cover or concealment. If you get into a situation where your life depends on your having the ability to fire the one round in your chamber,,, your tactics suck! If you went into a situation where you fully expected to have an exchange of gunfire and you willingly chose to engage with only a handgun, you need to re-evaluate your decision-making process- Take Long Guns and Friend with Long Guns.

We then went on to explain a myriad of other things about this alleged need for that one round.
I can say this, I have personally been involved in a number of situations were having the ability to drop the magazine and render the firearm nearly useless has saved the life of the individual by allowing them time to disengage and regain the control of the situation while the other person was trying to figure out how to get the firearm to discharge.

Of course we are all entitled to our own opinions. So, enjoy whatever your opinions may be.
