Another driver got robbed yesterday..

I work for papa johns (a no gun policy corporate company) as a driver and last night almost midnight one of our closing drivers got robbed. Her phone , wallet money and her car were all stolen. (Took her keys from her)
Apparently they had a gun to her chest from one guy and a gun to her head from other guy. One of the many reasons I CC even if corp doesn't allow it. I won't go anywhere without my gun ever since I got my CCL. It's a scary thought that it happens.

How would you have pulled your CCW in that situation? She got out alive. That's always the goal; to stay alive.

Pat her on her back and give her a hug for a job well done. When I was delivering at PH, I lost a good friend to a robbery by knife. They didn't ask, they didn't request... nothing. They just walked up to him and started stabbing him.
That's one thing I always wonder too. Like I haven't seen her yet but I will definitely do that when I do. She tried running away but they chased her. Honestly if it was me I wouldn't have taken it i would have called the number noticed it was fake and either not taken it at all or called the cops to see if they could help us out. But what I meant with my CC is in situations I don't like or don't trust I am just glad I have it on me if needed. My biggest concern is only if A) would they shoot before I could pull it out or B) will they make me unable to grab it and find it themselves and take it. We aren't a register-gun-only state so after 6 months of owning a handgun the store you get it from shreds the paperwork and there's nothing to prove its this or that person. Which kinda sucks since if they shot me or killed me you might not be able to track the persons gun. You never know If they have the "balls" to shoot or If it even has ammo or if its even real if its too dark to see and that's a scary thought.

Thank God she's still alive, and I hope the police get those dirtbags. This is where situational awareness plays a huge role whether you're carrying or not. Sometimes, no matter how observant and careful you are, someone can just catch you by surprise, but usually we can control it to some degree. They really should have classes for delivery drivers and others in similar jobs. It would save many more lives than all this insane "gun control" crap going on around the country.

I can't believe how many of these cases are multiple males - I refuse to call them men - preying on lone women. Violence against anyone is just plain wrong, but these punks attacking women disgusts me. And, Ash, I don't mean to sound like women can't defend themselves by any means, but I was raised to both respect and protect women.

I delivered pizza many years ago. My biggest fear was that one delivery address that does not exist. (pre GPS ). Or the one that does that you have never been to. ALWAYS watch your back..
I'm glad she made it out alive!

Is it a corporate policy or is it determined store by store?
Thanks for the concern and we are a franchised company so even though MY bosses don't care THEIR bosses do.
Also no I know what you meant about women but normally our guy driver get robbed but since only me and her are girl drivers that's probably why. Not many girls wanna do this job

I've had this happen to me a few times. If the address doesn't exist or something looks "fishy", I just don't make the delivery.

Corporate. At least it is with Pizza Hut. They make all delivery drivers sign a paper stating that the driver will have no weapons of any kind on their person or in their vehicle.

Yup. I don't think papa johns made us sign anything saying we won't I can't remember but I do remember asking what their policy was on ccw when I was doing orentation. A mom pop place near my dads house Padovas , instead of a no gun sign they have an NRA sign on their front door. I absolutely love their pizza and cheap but almost non existent delivery area so I never applied. One of their drivers got robbed few years back who had a ccw and shot one guy in the jaw and killed him and injured the other guy. I went there and told them kudos haha. I love them so much.
It seems better to break the rule and live unemployed than the alternative.

Like my boss said if it comes down to me having to use it am I gonna still wanna work for them anyway ?
Nope. Your boss sounds smart.
Exactly. Definitely how I see it.
Update:::

They found her car. Couldn't believe it, my manager lives in a real ghetto apartment area like 10 minutes from work (but out of our delivery area) and she happened to see it at her area. Called Morgan and picked her up to verify it and they called cops and are working on getting it back apparently they stole her gps and stuff out of the car. Which is expected but atleast her car has been found and I hope they find out who did it. Bastards lol.
I hope they parked it and it wasn't ditched. It would make a lot easier to find the people if they live in that apartment complex.

Think it was ditched bc the apartment complex lady saw them leave from it and told them they'd tow it If not moved and they said "oh yeah you should tow it definitely " and still dumb bitch didn't call cops even though she even said she knew it was almost guaranteed stolen.
Did she get a description?
I'm not sure but I know said two guys and didn't say race but I already know what their race was bc of where it happened we'd been more shocked if they were white. Lol.
