I used to have a Gardall 1818/12, (sold it since taking the photo), and now my hand guns live in the old 1947 Protectall that I restored myself.

Here's the Protectall the day I bought it on Craigslist for $100

Here she is a few months later after working on it on the weekends:

I tinker with locks and safes as one of my other hobbies, so if you ever need a recommendation on a good padlock, deadbolt, safe, CCTV cameras, or other physical security question, feel free to hit me up.

I certainly don't have anything as nice as that American Security safe, I wish I could afford to do something like that. Seems like I'm always having something happen that evaporates my spending money! For example this week, not only did my kitchen range start to fail, but this morning I got up and opened the refrigerator and it was warm, and the freezer contents were sadly soft. Considering they were both 16 years old, it was apparent that we needed new appliances. Bye, bye mad money!! Anyway, I've got a 10 gun Stack On safe that works better than nothing! It's bolted to the wall and I've got my scattergun on one of those mattress racks, along with various handguns stashed around the house. I have no children and no guests that I have to worry about getting into something they shouldn't. If there ever is a situation that warrants concern, my hideaways go into a safe. Maybe we could have a safe as a giveaway grand prize!! Whatcha think Austin?
