Nice looking Yugoslavian AKMS you got there Shooter13.
Thanks for getting an AK thread going, I thought I was going to start one myself but you beat me to it.
I have been a hobby builder for quite a while now so if anyone needs some AK building advice or has a AK problem just post about it & I'll see what I can do.
Here is one of my builds.
It is a Romanian MD 63.

It normally doesn't have a slant muzzle brake but I needed another 922r part & I had it already, the next gun show I'll get the correct muzzle nut.

Very nice BersaOwner !!!

I really like the underfolders over the full stock versions.

I can't wait to see the rest of your collection...

My Romanian, WASR 10. Shoots good for an AK. 10-12" group at 100yds with cheap Tul Ammo 122 FMJs.

Hey BT380 it looks almost like my WASR 10, with the scope I can bang the 10" gongs on the 375yd range all day long.

It is my first AK & my only bought AK.

Where did you find the scope mount? I like that, these old eyes don't like iron sights. Is that a 44mm or 50mm scope?
I got the scope mount at a gun show for about $40.
Here is the scope that I have on it (I think).

I can hear other shooters start to laugh when I pull it out of the case because the scope is almost longer than the barrel. But the laughter stops when I start banging the gongs, then everyone tells me I didn't know that AKs were that accurate.
Nice AK's gentlemen...
Hopefully I will have a pic of the Saiga I have ordered this weekend. On a side note one AK question. The Saiga I ordered comes with a recoil buffer, should I use it? Will the Wolf extra power recoil spring work on the Saiga and if so would it be in my best interest for function and longevity to install one?

It can't hurt, don't know to much about the Wolf recoil spring, just take out the spring and compare them and see if they are the same.

Where did you get your furniture?
Where did you get your furniture?
It came in the kit & the kit I picked up at the Knob Creek gun show.
The back turned front grip is hard to find, I went through the kits & picked out the best one. If you look close it has some engraving in the side I think is says BEDI or something like that. I just hope the prior user didn't get shot or killed before he could get finished carving that name.

When you get your Saiga to check to see if it needs a buffer do this check.
Check to see that the gun is unloaded & safe, then take the top cover off leaving the recoil spring assembly in place, pull the charging handle all the way back and up to see if the bolt carrier will come up out of the receiver at the rear top rail slots.
If it comes up out of the slots with the recoil spring assembly in place you will need the buffer because the slots are cut to far forward, if not don't use the buffer. Your recoil spring should be strong enough to keep the carrier/bolt from slamming back into the rear trunnion, if it is not it is time to change the recoil spring. The only real reason to use the buffer is to keep the carrier from jumping out of the receiver at the back & jamming. The original AKs didn't need them.
Brand new Saiga AK, as you can see already converted accepet standard AK mags has the pistol grip. It came with four Tapco 30 round mags, glasses recoil buffer, ear plugs, Tapco G2 trigger, Side scope mount and barska 3x9x40 scope. $669 not too bad I don't think. I believe I may have to do something with that buttstock though.

Very nice stanger !!

Does the receiver say Tullytown PA USA on it...!?

A friend of mine has a recording studio in Tullytown.
It certainly does, check out the pic just above the pistol grip.
Right...Can't make out the first line...

xxx Group LLC ?
Thanks...I'm gonna look them up in Tullytown !
Well took out the Saiga for function test. verdict AMAZING FIREARM. I only ran two mags through it. I started off shooting one at a time. Then I shot two back to back then hit the trigger back to back till empty. Second mag I could not help it I bumpfired a few rounds but not the whole mag. I did not work on sighting it in much because I did not bring a sight tool. Loving it just as much as my SKS and AR 15. Next project build up of a Ruger 10 22 it will be somewhat of a budget build with a target barrel.
