+1 on Target Sports. They have several good ammo choices available $18-$20 per 50/box.
I would dodge S&B and Fiocchi in 380. Had lots of feed issues in my Bersa 380's with that. But 9mm ran well.

(Edit: of course you must add in shipping costs $$.)

Edit/2: Academy Sports is having a sale currently -if you happen to live close to one? BUT their sale price on 380 may be $4-12/box higher than Target Sport!

There’s plenty of ammo out here in California
Yeah, but like everything else, it's pricey, and you can't get any bulk orders shipped to your door like in free states; i.e. you can only purchase through "licensed ammo vendors", who of course charge a fee to receive any outside ammo cancelling out any cost savings that may have been had. Nor can you legally "import" ammo into the state (i.e. you can't buy in NV, OR, or AZ and bring it back with you). Not to mention you get treated like a criminal when you make an ammo purchase, i.e. having to submit a thumbprint and undergo a background check. Of course, like the DROS, I'm sure ammo purchases add your name to an illegal & unconstitutional watch list/registry of gun owners in the state.

No, California ain't no shooter's paradise just because we have plenty of ammo out here. [You never said it was, so I hope you didn't take my comments personally, but sometimes I just have to vent about the utter stupidity of this state.]

Newsom 2024, right?

Just stumbled across this site this morning- I am sure there are more like it out there. Select the ammo you are looking for and it finds the cheapest for you.

If you click on the site- select the caliber you are looking for- then name brands you will accept- bullet wt, and whether jhp or fmj- then hit go and then you only have what you are looking for on the page and not everything in the store. It works good.

My LGS just got in several cases of Sig brand ammo in 9mm, 10mm and 45acp. Prices were not bad. Under $20 a box for 50 fmj 9mm. $24 for self-defense ammo for 20. I still don't need to buy any as I still have components to do a couple thousand 9mm and probably the same for my 380. Have about 500 fmj for both calibers loaded and 100 jhp for both. Only buy factory stuff when I get a new gun. My last deal was a Walther Creed and I bought 3 boxes of Ammo brand ammo for it. I shot all them without a hitch and 200 handloads. Ammo brand was $14.95 for 50 at that shop. Can get ammo for $9.99 at Bud's pluss shipping.

Why have foreign ammo makers not stepped in, to fill the demand ? seems somebody missed the ball. so , is there some sort of restrictions or what?
Ammo shortage? Where are you coming from? I've enjoyed the tremendous drop in 9mm costs, 380acp, and 38 Special are slowly dropping, too. I still reload 38 special, as it costs the same to reload, but still is nearly double 9mm, per round, brand new. I found all sorts of new imported ammunition, plenty of Aguila, Usuma, Seller and Beloit, ZQ1, Wolf, PMC, Noma, Maxxtech, and more.
