Is a Firestorm the same as a Thunder and only sold in California?

Firestorm is another Bersa line you can get anywhere really. Just Thunder is more well known but they are basically the same thing.

Rounded triggerguard looks slightly more like a PPK

I picked up a new Firestorm .380 today. I have not done anything with it other than bring it home and look at it.

First and foremost give it a good field strip cleaning and lubing as the shipping lube Bersa uses is quite heavy and has been known to foul the gun from the start of firing. Second point of advice that I follow comes from a Bersa forums that went away years ago. Only use American made, round nosed, brass cased ammo for the first 300 rounds, and that includes JHPs and flat nose rounds. They are prone to catch on the edge of the feed ramp. If you are an advocate of only cleaning a gun after two or more sessions at the range, forego that for cleaning every time you fire, to a max of 100 rounds to ensure your are getting rid of the breakin debris.
