Default Gun Control Kills People

Here's a Facebook post that I thought you'd like:

This could happen. Again ..........
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control:
From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
------------------------------
In 1911, Turkey established gun control: From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million
Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated.
------------------------------
Germany established
gun control in 1938: From 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and
others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and
exterminated.
------------------------------
China established
gun control in 1935: From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents,
unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
------------------------------

Guatemala established gun control in 1964: From 1964 to 1981, 100,000
Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated.
---- ------------- -------------
Uganda
established gun control in 1970: From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians,
unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
------------------------------

Cambodia established gun control in 1956: From 1975 to 1977, one
million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up
and exterminated.
-----------------------------
56 million defenseless people were rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control!
------------------------------

You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians
disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens
save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only
the law-abiding citizens.
With guns, we are 'citizens'; without them, we are 'subjects'.

During WW II, the Japanese decided not to invade America because they
knew most Americans were ARMED! Gun owners in the USA are the largest
armed forces in the world!
If you value your freedom, please spread this anti gun-control message to all of your friends.

The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in
defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more
important than either.
SWITZERLAND ISSUES A GUN TO EVERY HOUSEHOLD!
SWITZERLAND'S GOVERNMENT ISSUES AND TRAINS EVERY ADULT IN THE USE OF A RIFLE.
SWITZERLAND HAS THE LOWEST GUN RELATED CRIME RATE OF ANY CIVILIZED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!

DON'T LET OUR GOVERNMENT WASTE MILLIONS OF OUR TAX DOLLARS IN AN EFFORT TO MAKE ALL LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS AN EASY TARGET.
I'm a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment! If you are too, please forward this.

If you’re not a believer, please reconsider the true facts. This is
history; not the BS that's being shown on TV, sanctioned by our
illustrious leaders in Washington.

While researching "Gun Control" I stumbled upon this list of actors, actresses, prominent individuals and organizations, compiled by the NRA who in one way or another support some form of "Gun Control". It also looks like there's a few on here who will no longer get my money if I can help it!

It's a few years old but nevertheless interesting as well as food for thought!

There still are a lot of people and organizations that are aware of the dangers of gun control.

We must do our part to support them.

It was amazing the number of organizations on the list.

It was amazing, the number of Jewish related organizations on the list considering their horrible past in dealing with this very issue.

Those that do not remember or honor the past are doomed to repeat it.

Why is it conservatives often promote the Second Amendment, look for jobs, work to take care of themselves, their families, and their communities?

Why is it that liberals often promote gun control, work to avoid work, and create organizations and committees they can operate by sitting down and promoting their own agenda that destroy themselves, their families, and their communities?

Toakey - Thanks for the reminder.
This IS one thing that must remain in our minds and hearts.

God bless!!

Hey Michael, when I posted that list I was kinda shocked & disappointed to find some of my childhood hero's on there. It's kind of hypocritical that many of them used more guns & weapons in their movies "Than The Law Allows"!

I also found it rather odd that there are a few football organizations on there as well. It's no secret that I love football. I just find it a little perplexing that one of the most violent sports out there has anti-gun teams in the league!

Maybe I'm missing something here, but if you equate guns with violence, then how do you explain your sport?

Guess that's why I'm the dumb one in the group!

Dutch:

All these people or organizations are out to take care of one and only one - themselves.
You mention football - They come out and make a stand against firearms yet since the beginning of their sport have stayed quiet on concussions.
They had to be threatened with court to look into that injury.
They know it would come out how horribly dangerous their sport really is.
Then they would have to deal with it.
Most of those organizations are out for themselves so their stance does not surprise me.
If each one of those organizations have a lobbyist for their agendas, that room should be pretty full!

Most of the movies I watch and enjoy are from the 40s and 50s.
So my favorite actors have been long gone.
Jimmy Stewart, Audie Murphy, Randolph Scott, Humphrey Bogart, to name a few.

God bless!!
